Emma Spertus is an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She founded Real Time & Space, a collective studio and residency program in Oakland that serves as a hub for the Bay Area arts community. She has presented her work at CCA Wattis Institute, White Columns, The Lab, Romer Young Gallery, Important Projects, Stairwell's, and Dorsky Gallery, as well as presenting public programs at Kala Art Institute, Mills College, CCA, UC Davis, and SF State.
She has attended residencies at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Oxbow, and Contemporary Artist Center. She also works as a curator and producer of public art in temporary spaces in San Francisco under the name Project O.
